Who the hell hires a Lamborghini to school kids who are presumably only about 17 or 18 YOA. Most car hire companies won't hire a Mini to anyone under 21 let alone a Lambo!
I'm still very surprised that the insurers permitted drivers that young. I had a Saab 9000 turbo (a standard road car) and I always insured it 'any driver' but the insurance stipulated that no driver under 25 was covered to drive it!
I would have thought therefore with a car that expensive and powerful, that the insurance would have stipulated 'no driver under 30'
@Paulos_the_fog I agree, I am surprised the vehicle was hired to young drivers considering how difficult and expensive it is to legally insure even a small car in London for a young/new driver without having a spybox installed. It does make you wonder if the hire company workers are paid on commission and not checking insurance implications too closely...
@Paulos_the_fog if its the London collision you are commenting on, according to Metpol the driver and other passenger were in their 20s, they were driving their teenage friends to a school prom (its not that uncommon for those in early 20s to have friends a few years younger who are still in school). I suspect sooner or later we will end up with graduated driving licences like many other countries...
