I avoid watching YouTube for exactly that reason - I fückin HATE adverts especially as the fückin cünts who run it now think it's appropriate to interrupt what one is actually watching with their fückin crap adverts.
For exactly the same reason, I only watch TV channels that don't have adverts!
Apparently the adverts on most TV channels in the US are broadcast every 5 minutes - were that the case in Europe, I would simple stop watching TV completely!
@Crowpine @Paulos_the_fog @thatprivacyguy yeah Id used ublock ages ago and had stopped. The ads on YT got bad enough I tried it again... And wow it's good

If it ever stops working, just click on the UBlock icon, settings, "purge all caches", "update" refresh your browser and it will start working again.
@Crowpine @Paulos_the_fog @thatprivacyguy the other thing I use is Noscript. Takes some time to build it up as it black lists *all* scripts by default. But love it once it's up and running.
@pixelpusher220 @Crowpine @Paulos_the_fog @thatprivacyguy Ublock has equivalent functionality to noscript already built in: just put it into what they term "medium mode" https://github.com/gorhill/uBlock/wiki/Blocking-mode:-medium-mode
@Paulos_the_fog @thatprivacyguy FireFox browser + UBlock Origin extension =no YouTube ads
