I have a LOT of compassion for vets. WAY more than most lefties. WAY more. I have not worked in the military, but I had military folks on both sides in my parents' generation and grandparents. I have a cousin. I worked in institutional settings with DD folks which is its own thing, but which has some not-dissimilar ethical dilemmas.

I cannot say current military service is ethical.
