I read a lot of Instagram posts that say things like ‘If you’re having a bad day, I just want you to know that you’re amazing.’
And I get the sentiment, but: what if they’re NOT amazing? What if they’re really cruel, or self-obsessed, or commit crimes?!
Not everyone is amazing.

Her sig was: "Always be yourself. Unless you suck."
But seriously, this kind of empty fake-affirmation grinds my gears because the people who need it will find it so easy to dismiss.
@Spinybadger Ha ha! Great signature. But yeah, those affirmations are totally meaningless. I can’t imagine anyone finding them inspiring.
