More Art Talk, Clarification

(I started writing this before your further clarification. I think we mostly agree- but I think it is still important to post, for me personally.)
Ah, see here is an important clarification.
''Intentionally isolated' as opposed to 'Pretty much anyone who is not a cishet white male'
My sticking point is in the first statement, really. This idea that that weighs experiences that neither I nor you have personally gone through. This is universal, as everyone experiences life in their own unique way.
If we assume an artist, in this case, creates from their own experiences than every artist is an individual and must be weighed as an individual. Since every person has a personal and individual experience in this world, than it is only fair to judge any individual as an individual. Their personal beliefs/sexuality/skin-color/religion/gender can't be the guiding light to judge them.
People are people. You weigh them based on their actions and behavior. The rest of that stuff shouldn't be a factor in how you specifically judge an individual.
Isn't that what we all want? TO be weighed as the human beings we are, and not by a string of labels?
I love my friends for who they are often because of those things they identify with. As long as those things aren't hateful or harmful, it only makes them more beautiful to experience.
So, on one hand I completely agree with you- inviting people with differing experiences into any space, creative or otherwise, is good and helps everyone grow. I just, personally, hate labels.
This is because I'm a Jewish man with pale skin, though. In my life experience I've been white when it is convenient and the rest of the time I'm a Jew: and all I wanted was to be just another person who was judged based on his character and not on a label.
