@frostotron@tenforward.social Oh, yeah, absolutely. It's important, in my opinion, for people to look out for one another and watch out for 'extinguishing' attempts of people. As a Jewish person I'm sort of sensitive to the whole extinguishing thing, and don't want to see it happen to anyone for people just being who and what they are.

We have to be careful on the internet, though, because people will take something and run with it regardless of the actual truth. I've seen this happen within every community.

It's very easy to be on the 'same side' with the people you know and identify with. I know I find myself doing that all too often- my opinions of the people I interact with often are usually closer to my own so I will 'side' with them.

Anyways, you are correct. The Fediverse is a fantastic medium for everyone to find a social group that is of a similar style to themselves and I really like that. Likewise, I really like the people I've met outside my personal server. I'm learning a lot about other people and their experiences.

It's really fantastic to get that kind of exposure to thoughts and feelings and ideas that I might not have otherwise exposure to.

We just need to remember to be excellent to one another and look out for ourselves and each other out there.
