Oh hey, my 1000th toot! I better make it good. How about a poll? Since CBS loves making new spinoffs so much, why not a DS9 spinoff 20 years later in the same universe at "Picard"? What should it be about? (warning#1: thread of answers could have spoilers for DS9 if you haven't watched it all) (warning#2: these are purposely bad)
[ ] Jem'Hadar Les Miserables
[ ] Quark Swim in his Latnum
[ ] DS9 Mirror Universe (ugh)
[ ] No, I got a better one...
@quark omg no 🤣 please. Have you SEEN Avery Brooks in interviews lately? It's like someone set up an LSD lab in his brain.
@Mrfunkedude @quark yeah, dude's gone super-funk.
@quark @Mrfunkedude I started rewatching DS9, and you can actually see some of that come through in the flashback parts of the very first episode when he's chatting with Jennifer on the beach.
@Surasanji @quark I recall the first time I heard him in an interview for some Star Trek documentary about all of the Captains. I thought for sure he had taken to much LDS.
@Surasanji @Mrfunkedude he was always like that apparently. I saw Brooks on a panel at comicon once with Shatner and he was epic, nonlinear and poetic but amazing.
