A priest from the Ukrainian Orthodox Church (Moscow Patriarchate) in the village of Liubartsi in the Kyiv region attempted to persuade people not to vote for the transition to the Orthodox Church of Ukraine and assured them that the church had no ties to Russia. However, the villagers had many questions and grievances about the priest, with one of the main ones being that he refused to conduct funeral services for Ukrainian soldiers who had died in the war. Consequently, the community unanimously voted in favor of transitioning to the Orthodox Church of Ukraine.
