Valery Tsepkalo, a leader of the opposition in Belarus, reported that dictator Lukashenka was admitted to Moscow's Central Clinical Hospital in a critical state after his meeting with Putin. Blood purification treatments were conducted, and his condition was deemed too severe to be transported. Tsepkalo suggested that the attempts to save Lukashenka were made in order to dispel any rumors that the Kremlin was involved in his poisoning.
