Today, the Kyiv City Council announced that shelters in Kyiv will remain open at all times. This decision was made despite previous concerns that the shelters would be closed due to repairs and potential overcrowding by homeless people. Roman Tkachuk, head of the municipal security department of the Kyiv City Council, stated that there was no other option but to keep the shelters open all the time.
