🇩🇪🇵🇱For more than two months, Germany and Poland have been unable to agree on opening a repair base for Leopard tanks that were transferred to Ukraine, Spiegel reports.

According to the plan, German tank manufacturers Rheinmetall and Krauss-Maffei Wegmann were to set up a joint venture. It was to operate in Gliwice and Poznan with the participation of the state-owned Polish arms factory PGZ. The German government was supposed to cover the cost of repairing the tanks.

However, two months have passed, and the repair base has not been set up. Sources say that Poland is slowing down the project. Insiders talked about the "outrageous prices" offered by PGZ. In particular, more than €100,000 for the so-called "primary diagnosis" of tanks. At the same time, in Germany, such diagnostics cost about €12,000. In addition, PGZ allegedly does not want to give any guarantees for repairs.
