Well it’s been a whirlwind week in San Diego vacationing with the family. First we visited the Zoo and Safari Park.
We saw the Galapagos Tortoises, lauhged at animal antics, and agrees that sand cats are the most adorable cats ever!
The next day we toured The Midway aircraft carrier. My Uncle Ralph served on that ship so it was extra cool to see it in person.
The hangar level was huge as was the flight deck and bridge.
It was cool to see the helicopter that recovered several Apollo mission capsules from sea. And they had the aircraft Chuck Yeager flew on the flight deck.
We also visited the Mission Basilica San Diego de Alcala because Z is learning California history this year.
We heavily supplemented what was shared at the site and in his history text. 😏
@Xeno_lith San Diego is one of my favorite cities to visit and hang out at, they don't call it America's Finest City for nothing. Looks like you all had a great time!
@ZingerLearns We had the best time and of course felt we didn’t do enough. It’s a great reason to return for another visit!
