Working with people who trust and support you is more valuable than most pay raises when you switch jobs.
This is one lesson I’ve seen people learn the hard way over and over again.

I think this holds if you are in a position of some privilege and can afford to make that decision financially. The reality is that you should not have to get paid less to work in a healthy and safe environment, but employers will often exploit that to pay employees less. I see this in the field of education all the time unfortunately.
