This reminds me of the Blue Gold movie, that documented privatization of water across the globe.
Nothing like taking a public good, handing it to a for profit company and watching prices rise and quality fall. Nestle and Danone if I recall are central to this. We need to protect what should be basic rights including access to clean water, food, energy, and housing.
@ZingerLearns @StillIRise1963 Go talk to the brexit survivors in Britain whose water system was bankrupted and broken by private ownership. It is now in ruins as none of the record profits were used for anything but lining billionaire pockets. You should at the very least desecrate thatcher's grave. FFS!!!

I literally can't think of a single example of water privatization that has resulted in the same or better quality of water at the same or lower costs.
The capitalistic notion of let's just business it and it works better has failed again and again, but we continue to get lulled into it with empty promises, and ultimately pay the cost to make billionaires richer.

This is ALWAYS the case when the goods being privatized consist of a monopoly on a product mandatory for life and/or health, such as water, power, medical care, drugs, food, shelter.
