Websites are slowly improving their accessibility and use of alt-text. However, we can still do much better - particularly by ensuring that pages have colour schemes with sufficiently high contrast. ⌨️🎨

I wonder what happened in early 2018? I saw your commentary "I would speculate that this might be a period in which the metrics were redefined, but I wasn't able to find any hard evidence to support this."

Any #a11y #webdev experts out there know what's up?

@seblammers @zakvarty no worries! One thing I've noticed since is that the accessibility drops at the start of 2018 but the article was published mid-2018, so might not be the reason ...

Absolutely right. For the a11y score the drop begins even earlier, in late 2017.
