Generally I like watching supposed #hauntings and such on TV, but it does occur to me that they are great examples of implicit Christian hegemony.

Everything is framed in reference to Christian #mythology: that things are 'demonic', that you bless the house, say the Lord's prayer, bring in a priest, etc. It's assumed that everything works in the Christian world view.

I'd love to see one of these programs have a Hindu family, Buddhist family, Neo-Pagan family, talk about their landwights or whatever, and how praying to Shiva, Artemis, etc. somehow solved it.
