@empiricism @ScientistRebellion Precisely. The only thing I would argue with is that they aren't planning ahead. It's been the plan at least since Reagan, and maybe as far back as Eisenhower, to move the Overton Window farther and farther Right. That way, by the time the worst effects of Climate Change are in full swing, an authoritarian military dictatorship will be in place to keep the wealthy safe, and keep the poor isolated in those neighborhoods on the other side of the super-highway, where they can't threaten the comfort of the Fat Cats.
