I took the day off to wait for the guy from #Xfinity to figure out why my internet kept going out. They were supposed to arrive between 11 and 2, so when 2 o'clock rolls around, I give them a call to ask where he's at. They said they checked my service remotely and nothing is wrong with my service, so they cancelled my appointment without telling me. I told them I disagree and there is obviously something wrong because I am not on the internet. So I cancelled my service. Forever. You see, I don't forget things like this. About 20 years ago, #AT&T was complicit in helping the George W Bush administration spy on American citizens, and I cancelled my service immediately and never gave them a single penny again. Granted, standing me up and losing a day of work isn't quite in the same league as betraying the trust of the country that allowed you to prosper, but from now on, AT&T and Xfinity are on the same list of companies I will not ever give money to, along with Chick Fil-A, Hobby Lobby, Home Derpot, and several others.
Yes, Home Derpot is a typographical error, but I like it and I am keeping it. In fact I may call them that from now on. 😀
