Funny how everything people fear happening under communism comes to pass under capitalism in one way or another. Turns out that it is the capitalists who aim to strip people of their personal property by transforming everything into a rental.
You no longer own your media, books, computer, phone, or any other device; they’ve all been transformed into subscriptions. The moment you cease paying or the company decides to discontinue its services, you find yourself in an unfortunate predicament.
@yogthos Some people have compared society to an organism, so if we follow that analogy to it's conclusion, I think the phenomenon you bring up can be compared to Psychological Projection. We can go even further and say that if our society is like an organism, then perhaps it has a cognitive impairment.
