Today is the feast of #ThomasBecket, Archbishop of Canterbury, martyred for the separation of church and state, refusing to subjugate it to King Henry. At the Reformation, his tomb was the first targeted when another King Henry, with the willing aid of another Archbishop Thomas, succeeded in placing the church under the state.
Holy Thomas, assist us now in opposing #ChristianNationalists and all who would use Christ's church to serve their political ends rather than the Gospel of love.
