* When you start out, create a profile with a picture and a description about you.
* On Mastodon you can also indicate four other sites of interest like your blog, or other social media sites in the preference pane. In other apps such #pleroma you can fill in additional textboxes
* Write an #introduction about yourself so people would know you. Many people refuse to 'follow' if they do not see an introduction. This is important for 'humans' as bots are OK in #fediverse
