@orbifx@mstdn.io beside the fact that trees are not the "ancient guys" of the plant kingdom (they came about in the carboniferous), the personification of natural elements is, in my opinion, a phenomenon that can't be understood without a grasp of evolution. Teleological perception of elements makes for a quicker decision-making process and that can't be ignored by selection. The symbolic connection is likely just a pattern you can draw in the sand.
