Making a 16mm cone key for tightening the cones of the rear wheel of my .
Instead of buying a default cone key from the bike shop I rather make it myself from a standard wrench. Why? Because bike tools are made from poor quality materials and expensive.



The process is quiet simple. Instead of filing the wrench (which is made from a chrome-vanadium alloy and then rather hard) I decided to do two cuts. I'll show you the final result.

Of course the result would improve just by filing those edges and then polishing to mirror... That will happen some other day.
