So to me this sounds like some real 1984 type stuff, but I'd love to hear from Canadian fedi users if anyone is willing to share their opinion.
Also, does this have any real support among voters or is it a "think of the children" type thing that's going to be pushed through without any forethought?

@freemo sorry to bother you, I just noticed my QT here is unlisted but not sure why? Is this just default behavior when quoting a bot account or is quoting bots discouraged?
I can't totally discount user error of course but I have my posts set to public by default.
