Trump's "Truth Social" is a Mastodon fork and is violating the terms of the AGPLv3. The Software Freedom Conservancy has give the Trump Media and Technology Group 30 days to comply with the license or face legal action.
Based on the fact this is AGPL, their case to release all source is going to be very strong, but I wonder what enforcement will look like.
The only big concern I have is whether a judge will view Conservancy as having standing.
@zleap @emacsen @atoponce I'm a little late to the discussion but here's the post on the SFC blog https://sfconservancy.org/blog/2021/oct/21/trump-group-agplv3/. Not a whole lot more info... but it seems they are coming at this from that angle that everyone who was able to create an account so far is entitled to the source code. They don't specify, though, whether they represent one of those individuals, a group of people, or any other gritty details about how they actually plan to proceed.
