hot take: virtue signalling & eating animals don't go well together if you don't have the guts to raise & slaughter them yourself.
@weiterhaktaket was more about looking a being in the eye killing it vs. going to the store and buying fully prepared parts of animals.
@bonifartius You may also have the fate-option of belonging to a traditional indigenous culture, which doesn't involve raising the animals that you kill.
