The local dialect and a lot if identity hinges on public schools. Many city schools are lost but the better, suburban and rural (if there is something left here) are still net positive imho.
For thousands, school is the only thing moving them out of the house. It is not 1980 anymore...

idk about swiss, but for germany:
we need other things to save local identity, but in general it's frowned upon or belittled here as backwards. only identities which matter are the ones you can sell to the masses. like oktoberfest stuff.
rural teachers have been replaced by woke youngsters by now.

i don't fucking care about other peoples children, not my business. see, in germany you can't even homeschool legally, which is totally fascist, while the reason for this is fear of children becoming fascist due to homeschooling.. 🤡

i had maybe two teachers which were really good. the others were either not caring for anything or outright psychopaths.
