😊
I in all seriousness have my wife a sanding machine for her birthday! She is in furniture restoration, I am more of a constructive carpenter.
@useless_idiot don't tempt me. I'm already thinking about getting her a jointer. She's not into woodworking at all, but she's not dumb. She can learn new skills, right? 😂
@useless_idiot @ThatCrazyDude if you already have makita batteries, the electric tackers and pin nailers are quite good imho. more expensive than compressed air versions though.
@ThatCrazyDude @useless_idiot if i'd be doing it all day every day i'd get pneumatic stuff too. whats nice about the electric stuff is that you just can pull it out, insert a battery and are good to go.
i certainly wouldn't get a compressor for diy semi professional upholstery. hell a manual tacker should do in theory :)
@ThatCrazyDude @useless_idiot serious trades people i know also do use many battery tools now, like chainsaws. right tool depends on the job and what you need :)
@bonifartius @useless_idiot well, it all depends how much nailing you have to do. I mean, batteries are kinda heavy. That's why people generally go for pneumatic nail guns if they do any kind of serious work
