@LTJG_Pliskin @graf You can knock individual instances offline. If there's a DNS entry, they can assault it, seize it, and basically get you rendered persona non interneta.
.st has been a fairly good TLD. It's why SJW switched to it after losing his .xyz. The real danger comes if Verisign every starts going after domains .. since they own .com/.net and some other big ones.

@djsumdog @LTJG_Pliskin @AshChapelsGhost @graf you could use a gpg key and upload a signed post on one account and if your server is fucked you can sign a post of another account you own.
maybe hashtag the shortid to make it easier to find you? would still require that people check the signature of course.
they can fuck with domain names but the tools for everything are here. gpg (or maybe the bsd signify stuff..) if you want to prove identitiy, tor if you want anonymity. they can't stop us using technical means.
which of course means they'll resort to violence to squash free speech at some point. they have already considering all the raids on stuff like piratebay, jstark1809, etc. only those were meant to make examples.
