i think in this season is very hard to not eat much carbohydrates all the time. you have winter where at least my body wants to get as many cheap calories as possible combined with all the christmas candy stuff etc. everyone gets everywhere.

I don't have issue with eating only that the issue is the people around me are DIRECTLY proposing stuff I must not eat, be it pasta or cake while they know I try to loose weigh and while they have been bitching me for year to get healthy.
EACH FUCKING TIME it's the same thing, I do something that they propose they start telling me the opposite it's so god dam frustrating.
I start moving to another house, they don't like it, they have been bitching for years about how I wasn't out yet while they were also exploiting my manpower and now that I do it they aren't happy ?!
Fuck this, this is why I'm also cutting ties with them.

my folks seem sane in comparison to the stories you told of yours, but i have noticed this torpedoing of efforts too from time to time. i still get asked if i want to drink a wine etc. when i made it perfectly clear that i don't want to anymore. then the "but only a small one" yabbering starts. it's really annoying.

I feel you, yesterday my father brought a large flan back and I got the same thing "just a small one".
Why don't you drink wine or alcohol anymore ?
I don't drink alcohol much outside of festivities, which are rare occasions for me. Last time I drank a beer was last Friday and it was 25cl, and before that it was a few months.
@mangeurdenuage i think deep inside they know that the way they consume alcohol is problematic, but if someone drinks with them it's "ok" and the other person isn't more virtuous then them anymore.
would be pretty nice if that generation would fix their mental health issues instead of badly medicating the symptoms all the time and being a pain for others as result

the havoc parents can wreak on lives is really hard to compare.

Thanks, I just hope the owner will let me in it for over a year, I'll pay the bills and taxes but I don't think I'll be able to afford to buy the house in only 10 months, it is most certain.
