@Hyolobrika@berserker.town either you think it's ok to abuse people for saying the wrong things or you think it isn't.
neither the number of abused people nor the difference between long term solitary confinement and falling out of russian windows matters.
either you have a corrupt regime or you don't.

we aren't talking about crimes done by citizens but by the state which is defacto extralegal anywhere.

I’m talking about any crimes, that was just an example. High rates of crime correlate with ineffective law enforcement and general culture of violence in a society. In any case, For example homicide rate in Russia is 15.2, in USA - 5.4 and 0.5 in United Kingdom.
https://ourworldindata.org/homicides
If you’re interested in extrajudicial killings specifically, here’s a partial list of such killings done by Russia - only after 2000 it’s hundreds of people killed all around the world, including only those people who were clearly linked with Russian special services:
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_Soviet_and_Russian_assassinations
The above does not include politicians and journalists killed in Russia, like Nemtsov or Politkovskaya, whose deaths were clearly linked with special services but official investigations were either suppressed or sentenced some minor figures:
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_journalists_killed_in_Russia
And yes, you can quantitatively compare this to similar but much shorter lists for USA:
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_assassinations_by_the_United_States
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_journalists_killed_in_the_United_States
There’s also a qualitative difference - all of the US assassinations were Al Quaeda or ISIS associates and none of the journalists killed in the US were even suspected to be by security services or even related to their professional activities. In Russia it’s quite opposite, inside the country the even killed a sitting member of Duma (Nemtsov), outside they killed journalists, bloggers etc.
