How crisis is communicated to the public:
1) It can't happen!
2) It's not happening!
3) It's not so bad!
4) Well, it's your fault anyways!
5) It's actually a good thing!

As far as I can tell inflation/cost of living is currently at the end stage of 4. Though you can already cherry-pick examples of articles saying it's good.
