@condret replacement with pulse audio bridge. It is generally considered better and more efficient where the features are available. (E.g. some blutooth was late add.) They've taken considerable care in development to buffer usage making it feasible as replacement for Jack as well as pulse audio. I do not know how well it performs with pro-/realtime audio. From what I understand pipewire is generally well received.
You can check if it's active as pulse audio substitute with 'pactl info' .
