@KiffinEileen Although strictly that is what might be described a ‘Vulture Capitalism’. Capitalism (in its original meaning - reinvestment to achieve growth and business sustainability - would support the case for proper care and management or there won't be a future income stream. 🤨

@Wen @KiffinEileen i always wonder: would all the people lamenting about these issues pay money to fix these issues if there was no state to redistribute the money of others to their favorite cause?
e.g. all the money spend on various climate protests etc. could also be used to just buy land to use as nature reserve. some environmental clubs in germany do this and it's the single most effective thing they do.
@bonifartius @KiffinEileen Good question. In Scotland we do have a number of recent community buyouts of moorland , so some do. More might if there was no option, although in my experience, many live lives divorced from the outdoors.
