Such a cool idea, a CART cell gel to clean surgical borders (work done in mouse models).

"To develop a therapy for incompletely resected adenocarcinoma, we have established tumor models by incomplete surgical excision of subcutaneous tumors and the intraoperative application of mesothelin-specific CAR T cells in a fibrin glue–based carrier (fibrin gel) on the residual tumor and wound surface without the need for intratumoral injection."

@cyrilpedia WOW. Does this imply that smaller excision margins might become standard?

@AdaraAstin Not sure, this is preclinical work - but if I'd had to guess, I'd say that a belt + suspenders approach will be the way to go, at least to start
