Best patient memoirs?
In the context of writing a book about brain/mind research, I want to understand more about how the disorders I am writing about impact individuals. For this, I'm (in part) turning to patient memoirs. Any recommendations?

@NicoleCRust I'm not sure if I'd call it a patient memoir, but Tony Judt's "The Memory Chalet" is a stunning book.
