I finally deleted my Twitter account! it was time to burn the ship behind me.
Some folks I like are still there exclusively but I just couldn't be bothered logging in and getting updates on the rest of the sycophantic stuff
even if some fail as #mastodon admins, some won't. I think this is the right way for us to go, and there's no point looking back anymore.
i'm still not convinced microblogging is a good thing, but this is certainly a better version of it

It's quite remarkable actually. I'm not ready to delete my account yet since I want to see what comes of it all. But I've been on there 11 years and I have barely visited it in the past few weeks. There's simply more going on here.
