A Japan Airlines passenger plane caught fire on the runway at Tokyo Airport.
The plane arrived at Haneda International Airport from Chitose in Hokkaido Prefecture, NHK reported.
The plane collided with a coast guard plane near the runway. All 5 on that plane died.
There were 397 people on board the jet, all of whom were evacuated.
The causes of the incident are being established. There were no warnings of heavy rain or thunderstorms in the airport area.
