Neuroscience News: Poor Sleep Quality in Middle Age Linked to Future Cognitive Decline
neurosciencenews.com/sleeep-ag

@hosford42 Was reading an air crash investigation report and one of the things mentioned was Acute and Chronic sleep debt. That's something I'm going to look into. Acute being where you miss a few hours in a 2 week period, Chronic where that has built up over months and even years.

@davoloid Wait, acute is from just a few hours in a 2 week period? It got significantly worse in the last few years, but I'm trying to remember a time, ever in my life, where I had 2 weeks without missing a few hours of sleep. I guess I didn't realize how severe my sleep problems are. It's easy to think something is normal when it's that way for you from birth. (I have been told stories by my parents about me peeking out of the bedroom door at 1am at 1 year old because I wasn't allowed to get out of bed.)

@hosford42 Exactly. I've been that way since I was a teen and read til the early hours. Then kids disrupted *any* chance of a routine.
