Currently I'd stick to the clumsy behaviour of #synergy as it works at least most of the times. But thanks for the hint with using #XFCE

@dbread I had difficulty on my own PC after installing a version of #Ubuntu 22.04. Response to keyboard and mouse was very bad probably because of processor and memory being overloaded (16 GB). Fixed the problem by replacing the installed desktop environment with XFCE https://xfce.org/ - the response was MUCH faster 🙂
