I'm Russian from Russia and will be writing mainly in Russian for obvious reasons, but I can understand English pretty well.
Last time I checked out this instance I thought that you need a photo of your STEM diploma as a proof for registration, lol.

@ex You do need to be a STEM professional, or student, or at the very least an enthusiast. But you dont need a diploma. Only time we require someone to prove their affiliation with STEM in some way is if your straight out blasting conspiracy theories and anti-science rhetoric, at which point we might verify, but thats pretty rare.
@freemo I have bachelor's and magister's degrees in applied informatics and I mostly like to be easygoing on the internet and don't participate in conspiracy theories discussions and similar shit.
@ex Then you will fit in just fine.
