Mozilla are going out of their way to help surveillance advertisers. Why? Because "ads fund the web". Mozilla says they want "privacy preserving ads".

Privacy preserving ads exist and always have. Just don't track us. Don't personalise ads.
I didn't mind the original Google ads.Show me an ad for a keyword I'm actively searching for, by all means. Isn't creepy, doesn't harm privacy, and is sometimes useful.
That was what made Google its first billion. So what's the problem?

@dentangle I was making a stupid joke, but Mozilla is very much dependent on google. No doubt their decissions are not completely honest when google interests are at stake.
