@default @signalapp no. Not having to care of the person I'm talking to is on Signal or not was a massive bonus. Now Signal is just another silo like Messenger or WhatsApp.
@falken @signalapp No, I don't want SMS back. SMS is an ancient tech. And implementing it in #Signal was a mistake, as well as using the phone numbers.
@falken @signalapp Isn't a standard SMS client better for the job? Like, if you think about it, SMS is one of the less secure and less private standards, that would be implemented in an app that is trying to make people communicate with the highest privacy and security standards. Is there something else I am missing? Maybe how it can be used to bring in new users?
