I don’t particularly care for sports. I will watch World Cup and occasionally other football (soccer) games with friends as like a social thing or like the Olympics. If someone invites me to watch a game with them it’s like not my favorite activity but I’ll hang out. I will actively avoid baseball and American football.

I used to have comcast and it was super unreliable. Outages all the time. Unreliable speeds. I switched to Verizon because they had millimeter wave and it was awesome, then they switched to wideband and it got way worse. So I switched to T-mobile because their wideband is actually good (I was using it on my phone). AT&T fiber said it’s not available in my building when I was looking

I’m really fortunate that I found an affordable place and have lived here for like 10 years and we have rent control. My car is paid off. Sacramento is more affordable than the Bay Area (though it is getting more expensive). And I like to think I have strong budgeting skills. Sales are down a lot this year and I’ve had to make some cuts. But I’m still doing okay. I’m comfortable. I’ve survived on a lot less. I’m very grateful for what I have

I’m sorry anon. I’m glad you messaged me instead of her, though! Holidays can really bring out those kinds of feelings. I’ve been dealing with some of that too. Try to remember that you deserve to be with someone who wants you just as much as you want them. And consider that time spent wishing you were with her is time you’ve made yourself unavailable to that person who will treat you the way you are craving. Let’s both resolve to move forward!

I’m assuming this is re: being a girl. Everyone’s goals are different so there’s no one way. I recommend talking to a therapist to figure out your gender goals. Changing my biological sex with hormone therapy was a really important part for me, so if that’s something you want to do then you should talk to your doctor about it! If you want to choose a new name or go by different pronouns you can do that. You can wear any clothes that make you feel good. DM me if you need more help 🩷

It’s hard to imagine living outside of California tbh. Like I could imagine living in the SF Bay Area or SoCal or Monterey Bay Area or even Tahoe before out of state. It’s a huge place.

I’ll always advocate for communicating your feelings and needs directly and assertively. Something I’ve learned in therapy is this template for communicating where you say like “When you [discourage me from presenting as my gender in public], it makes me feel [anxious]. I want to feel [supported by you]”.

I think it helps to point out that you are listening too by saying something like, “I’m hearing you’re concerned about my safety and that makes sense. I’m worried about it too”

Yes! There’s some variation based on your vaginoplasty method but I’ve opted for a soft tissue graft from the colon which is stretchy and mucousal, so it will be self lubricating. Also the prostate is left in place and is analogous to the skene’s gland. The clitoris is formed from glans tissue etc so everything will be fully functional and sensile.

Oh, I think I would say not dating more casually when I was younger. I stayed in one unhealthy relationship for way too long and then after that I kept trying to meet “the one” and it was pretty counterproductive and I think it actually made me a worse partner to the people I dated.

I really wish I would have done therapy sooner as well. It is expensive so I definitely couldn’t have afforded it for most of my life. But I might have been able to start it sooner

I think it enables a lot of fun toys and it can have its uses in decreasing certain kinds of shit work, but I don’t think it should be used for anything important and I think there’s some ethical concerns currently with training data and intellectual property etc. I don’t think the technology itself is evil but I also don’t think it’s like so magical it needs to be at the core of every product
