How in the heck do I follow a hashtag? I have two that show up in my preferences, and that seem to occasionally surface posts in my feed, but I can't remember how I put them there.
@finity On the web interface, I "pinned" the column that showed up after I clicked on a hashtag. From there I was able to add additional hashtags. I don't know if there are other ways to do it (and I don't use any of the apps).
@cstanhope I see that, and can turn on the advanced interface to do that, and that is how I would probably prefer to use the interface on desktop, but it doesn't work well for me on mobile, and it doesn't add it to that list of hashtags I see in my preferences... Not sure where that came from.

@finity Yeah, those pinned tabs don't show up when I use the web interface on mobile. :/
@cstanhope @finity Settings > Following and Subscriptions > Following Hashtags is a very powerful feature.
@trinsec @cstanhope thank you! And to recap the convo on matrix - I had to look under the hamburger menu on settings - preferences, then found exactly that.
