Can anyone explain why I might want to get set up with Keybase? Does it compare to Signal?
@DMEdwards i tried it out because i thought the authentication was cool and it is indeed cool but unfortunately (or i guess fortunately?) it's useless because nobody ever tries to impersonate me online.
really wish i could make all my friends set up PGP for their e-mail.

@snickerbockers @DMEdwards I think @keyoxide meets some of these needs now, verifying that profiles across different sites represent the same entity, but doesn't attempt to provide messaging or other features
