I have just brought back to life another old watch in my collection. Havent used it in years but this one is somewhat special. It represents time with just an hour hand which sweeps only once every 24 hours.
The inner circle represents day night cycle, when the hand is in the dark area the sun is down. The small outer ring represents when the moon is visible or not. The small circle near the bottom represents the moons phase.
@M0YNG I already have 24 hours on the watch face, so made sense to set the digital to 12 hours.
There are some nice 24-hour sunlight based watchfaces on smart watches. My garmin has it and I think I had one on my android watch too.
@freemo I don't normally wear a watch, and I became disillusioned with the fitbit not letting me keep my data locally... So I think I'd be buying a smart watch just for that feature alone!
@freemo i had a Casio that represented the Halley comet transit by our solar systen and planets orbit by the sun, but i lost it. First it got damage and i let it in a box in my parents home but i lost this box...
Cosmophase was its model name. I wonder how it would represent right now the solar system and Halley's position...
@mikelga
Thats pretty cool!
@freemo that is super cool.
I use the Sunday / sunclock app for a similar effect on my phone, but a physical device is very appealing, and well executed.
May I ask why you have the digital clock set to 12 hours not 24?
