That doesnt account for other environmental impact of cigarettes such as the land use or the burden ont he medical system, So overall I'd say they are likely somewhat comparable in terms of impact, cigerettes may even be worse.

@freemo I can see that. Do you happen to have a link? I'd be curious to know where they mark the start of the production process. Is it at the Apple plant, or does it include the harvesting of raw materials and manufacturing required to produce the component parts?
