Question: on my (2 person) Mastodon instance, I am missing in the local timeline (both when I look at it, and when the other accountholder looks at it). Is there a setting that prevents my messages coming up in the local timeline, if so it's not obvious to me which one. Could it be the 'less public' setting for my messages? What would prevent my messages to come up in the local instance timeline?

@ton usually unlisted are used for things like bots where they would spam the local and federated feeds but you still want them availible for people who want to find it.
@freemo oh, thank you, I see. I had interpreted "not on public timelines" as not pertaining to the _internal_ timeline of an instance itself. Interesting clash of assumptions!
