Is it really a former troll instance? This seems facially unlikely to me. Afaik it's defederated by a few secondary-boycott-wise because its policy is not in general to defederate other servers. The rationale for that policy seems pretty reasonable: https://qoto.org/@freemo/109319817943835261

We have never been a troll instance. Our rules have clearly stated since our founding 5 years ago tthat our users are expected to interact respectfully, if they dont they get booted. While our rules have expanded and matured that has always been a foundation of our rules.
When people accuse us of being a troll instance in the past do two things.. 1) Ask for a link to an example of trolling (or photo) 2) make sure the post was reported (it is always possible something can slip though)... 3) after making sure irs reported check to see if moderators take action (if its legit we would have and do).
